I had a muffler and mid pipe replaced and it rattled loudly so I took it back a second time. They said it was fixed. Just needed to tighten a bracket. Well that didn’t work. A day later the rattle came back worse than before. I’m not going back. I’ll find someone else to fix it.
The wait and the predicted work time were accurate
Had been a Midas customer for 20 years but then the manager left and was replaced with several managers over the years all were terrible. Then I went in and there was still another manger. Only this guy, Ray Valle, is great. I am again bringing all my car needs to midas
I checked the cost of labor and materials. Materials to replace brake pads and calipers on rear brakes was between $280 and $300 retail I am sure you get them below that. The time needed to do both was less than 1 hour. My calculations would Allow $120 for labor. or about $420 outlay on labor and materials. Let's say $500. If you were working on a 100% mark up or 50% gross margin that would be about $1,000. The estimate I received was for over $1,500. I ordered the parts on line and it may take me two hours to do it myself but I will save over a Thousand dollars.

The management is friendly and great customer service
I feel that Midas in Fairfield's experience depends on who attends to you. I have had a few good interactions with some staff but most of the staff do not know basic professionalism. They are cold and do not relay messages to one another, which has often led miscommunication and confusion.

Dropped car Saturday morning 8:30 am - waited 3 days for any information on work estimate for simple brake pads never did receive estimate shop never called me I called them daily for an update I showed up un announced on Wednesday and found my car burried on lot in back with 10 guys standing around not working - the worst shady place ever
Even though I will never step foot back at Midas I would still like to leave a review. I dropped off my ram pickup truck to get an alignment, tire switch, and exhaust repair. After 6 hours of waiting, I picked up my truck which was incorrectly completed. I also was never told my car was ready and had to reach out to them. The tires were never balanced, or inflated with air. The alignment was never performed. The exhaust was never even touched. This place is by far the worst place I have ever serviced my car and will never recommend it.
Communication was clear, counter man was professional but friendly, a glitch in parts availability was handled efficiently, repairs are satisfactory, price was reasonable and adhered to.
Service included replacement of Rear Differential Fluid, which was not in stock at the service location. Acquiring the fluid did not occur same-day, so fluid service could not be completed until next day. Ultmately was not a problem for me, and overall service visit was excellent.
I’ve been coming to this Midas in Fairfield for many years. I have 3 cars and they keep all of them running. I trust all of the guys that I have dealt with there. They are professional, personable and know cars.

I was highly satisfied with my Midas experience because everyone I encountered was very kind. There was a young man, white with tattoos at the Fairfield, CT location (I forgot to get his name) but not only did he take his time with me and explain steps, he did that with the other 3 customers in the waiting room. He genuinely wanted to help each of the customers even if the situation was out of his hands.
My car needed lights. I had an 8am appointment and the job took 2 hours
First tech explaining what I needed didn't seem to understand, could not answer questions. I didn't trust second tech; felt like he wasn't being honest. Battery issue affirmed that - i saved almost $600 by choosing to not buy from Midas when I did not need it (corrosion issue was fixed by Advanded Auto Parts for $5.00). I wonder if i really needed the coolant flush that had just been done in January? Trust is critical with a mechanic and I did not trust this team.
Had an issue with corrosion of the battery cables that needed to be replaced and the alternator. Was able to bring in and get fixed quickly vs. other establishments which couldn't do anything for a week. Having a car was critical. Manager was excellent got the car in, got parts within a day, communicated frequently and clearly. Cost was very fair.

I have been going to this midas in Fairfield for many years. The manager was steve roth and he was great. After he left there the mangers kept changing. A new manager every time I went. Some were good others were not. I stopped going when one manager charged me 100.00 to put air in my tires which he did not even do correctly as the low pressure light remained on. On this visit there was again a new manager. His name was Ray and he was excellent. I hope he stays and I will go back to going to Midas

I had a nail in the tire. They lied to me about where the nail was and lied to be about the condition of the other tires. Tried to get me to buy a new set of tires and pay for alignment with tires that’s have less than 13k miles. Went to another tire shop and they took the nail out of the spot where it can be taken out for 20 bucks and didnt try to scam me. Will be telling everyone Midas is the worst and untrustworthy.

Offer available services and options before charging $46 for oil change when customer has a coupon. Advise customer of expected delay and offer to have customer return at a later time or to reschedule. If something suddenly came up, inform customer the reason for delay: their car, someone else’s car, lack of supplies, mechanic suddenly fell ill…? I’m a single parent, health care worker whose only day off is Sunday. I worked a full eight hour day to pay for the oil change and my disabled son’s care for what should have been a block of time for oil change, bank appointment, grocery shopping, and a library visit.

Cost of the repair was 185% MORE than the estimate. I was told the cost would be about $2500. Actual bill was $4600!! The cost of the parts was marked up outrageously! I could have purchased the parts for half the price I was charged! I feel like I was ripped off! This is a very bad business practice and I will never do business with Midas again. This is a shame because all of my previous experiences with Midas have been positive. But, this experience was TERRIBLE!!!! I was grossly overcharged for the parts used for this repair!

I prefer this Midas even though I live/work closer to others because they always hire the NICEST front-desk people. There is no hard sell on anything (they may suggest a service, but never push). Always accommodating on scheduling, respectful of my car (my seat position isn’t moved) and I’ve never had to wait very long (when I do wait for my car).

The mechanic can't be trusted in installing the battery. They break the positive and negative terminal since it was disconnect due to avoid accident of the leak fuel lines. After Midas replace the fuel lines they connect the the battery terminal and tighte
